The first album under this agreement (and his first since collaborating with Damon Albarn & Paul Simenon in The Good, The Bad and The Queen) will be 'Secret Agent ' due for release later this year. A tour is also planned. World Circuit Records, the home of, among others, the late Ali Farka Touré, Buena Vista Social Club, Orchestra Baobab & Oumou Sangare, rarely sign new artists. 2006 Grammy Winner & 2009 Grammy nominee Toumani Diabaté was the last Artist to join the Label in 2003. Joe Boyd, whose Carthage Music publish Tony 's catalogue, commented 'Tony has spread Afrobeat - a perfect synthesis of tradition and sophistication - to the corners of the globe. The American poet and David Murray work for months on one retranscription of the Sisyphus Myth, from the Afro-American history's angle. A kind of "jazzopera" played by prestigious musicians, including the Deep River Gospel Choir from Washington, whose premiere will be in Milano at Teatro Manzoni in February 2009.

Ota Records will release in february 2008 the new album of Omar Sosa called "Afreecanos", on which we can hear several prestigious guests such as the Belmondo's brothers, Mola Sylla, Mamani Keita, Ali Boulo Santo... Omar Sosa will play in Paris in March, and a tour in Spring. More details to come soon.

Organizers behind the 2008 Sundance Film Festival have announced that Slingshot Hip Hop, the first feature-length film on Palestinian Hip Hop has been selected to premier as part the 2008 Festival lineup.

The parisian concert of Yasmin Levy, previsously scheduled on Nov 19th, will finally happen on Nov 26th, still at the Théâtre de l'Atelier. This postponement is due to Technical problems at the venue on the previous day, and we apologize for this. Tickets sold for the 19th are still available.

Bonga comes to the french capital for one of his latest concert of his "Maiorais" tour on November 30th at Bataclan, before recording a new acoustic album.

Ba Cissoko will still be on the road through Europe this summer, from Poland to France, with the support of the Organisation Internationale de la Francophonie.

"THE DUSTY FOOT ON THE ROAD", the live recording of K'naan will be out in UK on June 25th, on July in Germany and on next september in the rest of the world, on Wrasse Records.

The forthcoming album of the Gwo Ka Masters will be recorded in Guadeloupe at studio Deb's from May 12th to 18th, following a concert at the Saint Lucia Jazz Festival. Pictures from the recording sessions will be available on David Murray's Myspace page.
